Based in Sudbury, Ontario, I am a mining engineering with more than 30 years experience in underground, hardrock mining. My specialties are deep mining, mining-induced seismicity and ground control in underground mining. As a consultant and researcher, I have worked with more than 50 mines around the world.
About Marty Hudyma
I have bachelor's and master's degrees in mining engineering from the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, and a PhD in Civil and Resource engineering from the University of Western Australia. In industry, I worked for Noranda Technology, Brunswick Mining, Mount Isa Mines, and Itasca Consulting Canada Inc. Most recently, I was a professor at Laurentian University for 14 years.
