Seismic Risk Management Plans
As of September 2023, Ontario Regulation 71.1 requires that in Ontario mines "an owner of an underground mine shall . . . develop and maintain a written seismic risk management program." We have helped Canadian mines develop seismic risk management plans.
Seismic System Design and Auditing
Design of new seismic systems or expansion/modification of existing mine seismic systems. Auditing of an existing seismic system, involving: system design, system performance, data quality and site data analysis procedures.
Large Event / Rockburst Analysis
Back-analysis of large events or event sequences to better understand the related rock mass failure mechanisms.
Mining Reviews
Review the current design of deep underground mines, and related ground control problems and challenges.
